Joint CF&AP-SIG and NAG Conference 2023
Sunday 13 - Friday 15 December 2023 InterContinental Dubai - Festival City Hotel, Dubai,We are pleased to invite you to the Joint Conference of the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) Corporate Finance and Asset Pricing SIG and the Northern Area Group from 13–15 December 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The conference will be hosted by the College of Business and Economics, United Arab Emirates University, at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. Contributions from all areas of accounting and finance are invited for the conference.
CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite the submission of original papers related to, but not limited by, the following broad theme: Fintech and Sustainable Accounting & Finance in a World of Change
The conference offers an interdisciplinary forum and will bring together researchers and practitioners in the accounting and finance fields to explore timely research. We welcome papers covering all areas of accounting and finance, and especially those whose themes are related to the conference theme, including but not limited to:
- Climate change and financial performance
- Climate risk management and reporting.
- Social and environmental/sustainability reporting (including integrated reporting).
- Assurance of social and environmental/sustainability disclosures (including integrated reports)
- Carbon accounting and offsetting
- Climate change and financial regulation
- Organisational and governance responses to climate risk
- Changes in financial practices and accounting standards
- Fintech, digital finance innovations, Cleantech, and Cloud Accounting
- Digital currency, cryptocurrency, Defi & NFT
- Regtech—New regulatory challenges
The conference will also host the British Accounting Review Special Issue on the theme of “At the Interface of Digital Technologie and Management Accounting”.
