CFAP Annual Conference 2023
Thursday 19 - Friday 20 January 2023 Jubilee Conference Centre, Nottingham UniversityWe are pleased to invite you to the Joint Annual Conference of the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) Corporate Finance and Asset Pricing SIG and the Northern Area Group, which will be held at Jubilee Conference Centre, Nottingham University Business School, University of Nottingham, during 19–20 January 2023.
CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite the submission of original papers related to, but not limited by, the following broad theme: Accounting and Finance in a World of Change
The conference offers an interdisciplinary forum to gain feedback on timely working papers. We welcome papers covering all areas of Accounting, Banking and Finance, and especially those whose themes are related to changes in finance practices, accounting standards and policies, and financial institutions. Authors are encouraged to submit original papers focusing on research questions with consequences for accounting and finance practice and policies, with an emphasis on various stakeholders and organizations in the public and private sectors, in both developed and developing countries. We particularly welcome timely research that concerns society and economic organisations, such as ESG, sustainability, climate finance, GHG and environmental disclosure, and CSR reporting, as well as the management of innovation, including, but not limited to, Fintech, Cleantech, RegTech, and Cloud Accounting. The conference will feature
- Keynote speech presentations
- Professor Emanuele Borgonovo (Bocconi University), Co-Editor-in-Chief of European Journal of Operational Research
- Professor Edward Lee (Alliance Manchester Business School), Joint-Editor of Accounting Business Research
- Meet-the-editor panel session
- Career Development Workshop (Professor Emmanuel and Professor Musa on job markets, e.g., issues concerning career development of all stages)
- Parallel presentation sessions
Paper Submission (Open)
Extended Deadline: 10 January 2023 (midnight)
Submissions can range from an extended abstract, early working drafts to fully developed papers. Please submit your work via email to Dr. Ja Kim: Ja.Kim@nottingham.ac.uk by Friday, 23 December 2022.
Please include
i) BAFA,
ii) your surname, and
iii) your institution name in the subject line of the email.
For example: the file name should be: BAFA-Smith-Edinburgh.
Papers will be selected via a double-blind review process, undertaken by the programme committee. Authors are encouraged to submit their work as soon as it is ready, as the committee evaluates submissions as papers are received on a rolling basis, returning their decisions as quickly as possible.

All fees cover registration and catering for the two days.
