This session explores how investor stewardship is evolving beyond traditional shareholder power towards broader systemic responsibility. Drawing on cutting-edge research and policy engagement, the talk will examine the role of institutional investors in corporate governance, sustainability, and long-term value creation, with insights into current regulatory and stewardship debates.

Dionysia Katelouzou is Reader in Corporate Law and Corporate Governance at King’s College London, a Research Associate at the Centre for Business Research, University of Cambridge, and a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). She specialises in comparative and transnational corporate law, corporate governance, and financial regulation, with a particular focus on institutional investors and stewardship. Internationally recognised for her interdisciplinary research and policy engagement, she leads the Global Investor Stewardship project and has secured major competitive research grants. Her work engages closely with regulators, policymakers, and international organisations, and contributes to debates on the future of corporate governance and sustainable finance.
