General Meeting and Executive Committee Elections (May 2019)

Executive Board Elections (22nd May 2019) and Expressions of Interest

Nominations are sought for the following three posts on the Executive Committee of the BAFA AE-SIG:

  • Elected Member (Professional Bodies Liaison)
  • Elected Member (Conference Organiser)
  • Elected Member (without current portfolio)

In addition there are spaces for up to two additional co-opted members of the Executive Committee for which we are seeking expressions of interest. For consideration for these posts we request that those expressing an interest provide a brief statement, not more than 200 words, indicating the contribution you intend to make to the Executive Committee. In this respect we are particularly interested in members who can contribute with respect to social media & publicity and to the encouragement and support of early career/change in career accounting education researchers.

To be nominated for election or propose yourself for co-option you must be a member of the British Accounting and Finance Association and of the British Accounting and Finance Association Accounting Education Special Interest Group (BAFA AE-SIG).

Nominations for elected posts and should be e-mailed to the undersigned Chair (copied to Secretary) before 12:00 (noon) on the day of the General Meeting that is scheduled to be held on 22nd May 2019.

Expressions of interest for the co-opted positions should be made to the undersigned Chair and Secretary by the end of the BAFA AE-SIG conference on the 24th May.

We encourage all interested members to consider the posts available and to seek nomination.
