Accounting Education Award for Distinctive Approaches to Teaching and Assessment

The BAFA Accounting Education SIG is delighted to announce the establishment of an award which will recognise outstanding contributions to the teaching and assessment of accounting. The award seeks specifically to highlight excellence in the development and delivery of distinctive approaches to the teaching or assessment of accounting (broadly defined) at undergraduate or postgraduate degree level. The first award will be granted in 2024 and it will recognise distinctive teaching or assessment approaches in 2022/23 and 2023/24 and the deadline for applications is the 31st August 2024.

Accounting Education SIG Doctoral Bursary

The British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) Education Special Interest Group (AE SIG) are offering a bursary to assist with doctoral studies in Accounting Education. One or more bursaries to the maximum value of £3,000 each (to be spent over a maximum three-year period) are available each year (up to the limit of the funds allocated) to assist in the conduct of doctoral research into pedagogical and curriculum issues in accounting/finance.
