Accounting Education Award for Distinctive Approaches to Teaching and Assessment
The BAFA Accounting Education SIG is delighted to announce the establishment of an award which will recognise outstanding contributions to the teaching and assessment of accounting. The award seeks specifically to highlight excellence in the development and delivery of distinctive approaches to the teaching or assessment of accounting (broadly defined) at undergraduate or postgraduate degree level. The first award will be granted in 2023 and it will recognise distinctive teaching or assessment approaches in 2021/22 and 2022/23 and the deadline for applications is the 31st August 2023.

Accounting Education SIG Doctoral Bursary
The British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) Education Special Interest Group (AE SIG) are offering a bursary to assist with doctoral studies in Accounting Education. One or more bursaries to the maximum value of £3,000 each (to be spent over a maximum three-year period) are available to assist in the conduct of doctoral research into pedagogical and curriculum issues in accounting/finance. Up to £9,000 will be available to applications deemed to be of sufficient quality from applicants who meet the criteria. As funds were not allocated following the 2022 deadline a new call has been issued, with a rolling closing date from 31 March 2023 to 30 June 2023. Applicants are advised to apply early as they will be considered on a rolling basis until funds are allocated.
