South West Area Group (SWAG) Annual Conference 2023

This event has been postponed. We will post further updates here once a new date has been decided.

This year, BAFA SWAG will hold a one-day combined Doctoral Colloquium and Annual Conference on Friday, 15 September 2023. It will be hosted by the Faculty of Business and Creative Industries of the University of South Wales at its Cardiff Campus.

The conference is expected to run from approximately 09:30 until 16:30. Keynote speaker details will be available in due course, when confirmed.

Call for Papers

Deadline: 31 July 2023

Papers are invited from both PhD students and academic staff. Please submit an Abstract between 200 and 500 words by 31 July 2023 by email to: south-western-ag@bafa.ac.uk. Acceptance of your paper will be confirmed by email within seven days of receipt of Abstract.

Closes: 8 September 2023

Prices will be held at the 2022 one-day rates:

Academic staff £70
PhD students £20

Price includes a buffet lunch and refreshments on arrival, mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Registration is via your BAFA membership account.

Travel

University of South Wales Cardiff Campus (CF24 2FN) is a 10-minute walk (1 km) from Cardiff Central railway station or there is an NCP car park opposite with plenty of spaces though, inevitably, expensive.
