BAFA SOUTH-EAST AREA GROUP 2024 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

BAFA-SEAG 2024 Annual Conference

The organising committee of the BAFA–SEAG are pleased to announce its annual conference to be held at the University of Greenwich on Friday, June 7, 2024. The theme of the conference is ‘Digitalisation and Sustainability in Accounting and Finance’.

Speakers at the conference are:

Prof. Richard Barker, International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) member, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Professor of Accounting at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford

Prof. Claudia Girardone, Dean of Business School and Professor of Banking and Finance, University of Essex

Prof. Alan Jagolinzer, Editorial Boards member of the Accounting Review and the Journal of International Accounting Research, Professor of Financial Accounting, Director of the Centre for Financial Reporting & Accountability (CFRA), Judge Business School, University of Cambridge

Prof. Ane Tamayo, Head of Department, Professor of Accounting, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)

Prof. Andrew Urquhart, Professor of Finance and Financial Technology, Head of the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School, University of Reading

Jessica Bingham, EEMA and UK Policy & Insights Lead at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

Alongside the invited speaker presentations, there will be an opportunity for scholars to present their working papers in a poster session (A3, not A4 in size). We invite submissions addressing research questions in all areas of accounting and finance research. There is no preference to any particular methodology or topic. We especially encourage PhD scholars to submit the summary version of their ‘job market’ papers.

The final decision about the selection of the poster presentations will be made by the BAFA-SEAG executive committee.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

A summary version of the full paper (not to exceed 5 pages), a title page including names of authors and affiliation should be emailed to: Dr. Xianmin Liu (xianmin.liu@greenwich.ac.uk) and Dr. Chandres Tejura (c.tejura@qmul.ac.uk), with ‘BAFA-SEAG 2024’ in the subject line.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE - Tuesday 30 April 2024 – 5 PM (GMT).
