Programme Guide

Established in 2007, the Financial Markets and Institutions Special Interest Group (FMI SIG) brings together academics with research and scholarly interests in financial markets and institutions. The group is inclusive by nature and open to contributions on financial markets and institutions from a range of disciplinary perspectives. We hope this forum can provide UK based opportunities to assist new and prospective academics together with more established scholars.

The BAFA Northern Area Group (NAG) provides a forum for interaction of ideas among accounting and finance academics, PhD students and professional members, primarily in the Northern parts of the UK. The symposium builds on the success of previous meetings including Portsmouth (2021), Coventry (2019), Derby (2018), Bangor (2017) and Loughborough (2016)

Conference and Presentation Facilities

The conference will be held at the Ron Cooke Hub. This is the central hub to the new Campus East and is set beside one of our large lakes. The very design of the building promoted creativity and interaction. Along with the open, airy atrium, the building is home to a tiered lecture theatre with up to 220 delegates as well as a range of rooms of unique designs and capabilities.

Upon arrival all delegates should report to the main conference reception desk in the Ron Cooke hub on the East campus of the University of York.

Accommodation

Delegates need to find their own accommodation. The city is home to many hotels and guesthouses, both large and small. More details can be found at the Visit York website.
