BAFA Northern Area Group Annual Conference 2019

CALL FOR PAPERS

We are pleased to invite you to the Annual Conference of the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) Northern Area Group, which will be held at Coventry Business School, Coventry University, on the 9 th and the 10 th September 2019. We invite the submission of original papers related to, but not limited by, the following broad theme: Accounting and Finance in a Changing Institutional Environment.

We welcome papers covering all areas of accounting and finance, and especially those whose themes are related to changes in accounting standards, finance practices and enhanced corporate governance. Authors are encouraged to submit original papers focusing on research questions with consequences for accounting and finance practice and policies, with an emphasis on various stakeholders and organizations in the public and private sectors, in both developed and developing countries.

Paper submission

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO  31 August 2019

Papers are welcome from all areas of accounting and finance. Submissions can range from early working drafts to fully developed papers. Please submit via email a 250-word abstract of your proposed submission to Prof. Panos Andrikopoulos
(ab7724@coventry.ac.uk) by 31 August 2019.

Authors are encouraged to submit their work as soon as it is ready, as the review committee evaluate submissions as papers are received, returning their decisions as quickly as possible. Papers will be selected via a double-blind review process, undertaken by the programme committee.

Registration

Opens: 5 July 2019
Ends: 11 September 2019

Paper Presenters must register for the conference on-line on or before 30th August to secure a place on the programme. The final deadline to register for attendance only is 30th August. Please note places are limited and so please register early to avoid disappointment.

Fees

Full: £120 
PhD students:
£80

Fees cover registration, catering for the two days, and the conference dinner. 

To attend the conference, you need to be a registered BAFA member. If you are not already a member of BAFA, please sign up for membership at https://members.bafa.ac.uk/signup.

Academic staff: £30
Unsalaried PhD/MPhil student or retired academic: £15
