Festschrift in honour of Richard Macve
A 'Festschrift in Honour of Professor Richard Macve' is being held on 17 April 2026 at the Birmingham Business School,, Birmingham University.
The Accounting History Review and its editor, Professor Cheryl McWatters, have initiated this project, and Birmingham Business School and its Accounting Department, have organised the event to take place on the day after BAFA’s annual conference held this year at Aston University.
The all-day event will begin at 09:30 and end at 16:30, and will feature 9 papers by leading scholars who have either worked with or been inspired by Richard.
There will be coffee, tea and morning refreshments from 0900, and lunch prepared by Change Kitchen will be served from 1245. Our thanks go to Cheryl McWatters and Accounting History Review, who will publish a special issue containing the papers presented at the Festschrift.This event is sponsored by Accounting History Review and hosted by the Department of Accounting, Birmingham Business School. Details regarding the schedule and programme of events will be finalised and made available in the upcoming weeks. Please note that the all-day event will take place the day after the BAFA Annual Conference at Aston University, Birmingham [April 14‒16] to facilitate joining us if having attended that Conference.
There is no charge to attend the event but we do require your pre-registration to attend.\
