CALL FOR PAPERS: Finance and Accounting 2024 Annual Research Symposium

The Finance and Accounting 2024 Annual Symposium is a two-day meeting, to be held on 17-18 June 2024 at the Westminster Business School, University of Westminster. Theme: Central Bank Digital Currencies [CBDCs] and its implications

Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) are a relatively recent and complex topic in the current dynamic economic environment. The introduction of CBDCs globally has heralded a significant change in the way money matters will be managed in a country. Policymakers as well as the society at large are grappling with important questions pertaining to the operational implementation of CBDCs, relationship of CBDCs versus fiat currencies, as well as technological and regulatory opportunities and challenges amongst others.

Submissions in all areas of finance, data analytics and accounting are encouraged. Submissions exploring central bank digital currencies will be particularly welcome.
