Positions available at BAFA

There are several opportunities open for volunteers to work with BAFA. We accept self-nominations and nominations from friends/colleagues for posts. Please do not be too modest or wait to be asked – your interest in any of these positions would be very much welcomed. All appointments are made under our Diversity and Inclusion Policy and are overseen by our Diversity and Inclusion Monitoring Committee.

Public Services & Charities SIG

The Public Services and Charities Special Interest Group (PSC SIG) is looking for nominations for the following roles on the Executive Committee: 

  • Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Membership and Newsletter Secretary
  • Three other members of the Executive Board (others may be co-opted).

To be nominated for election you must be a member of the British Accounting and Finance Association Public Services and Charities SIG. Nominations for elected posts (self-nominated or nominated with the person’s prior approval) should be e-mailed to the present Chair (Noel Hyndman who will be standing down - n.hyndman@qub.ac.uk), copied to the present Secretary Mariann Liguori (mariannunziata.liguori@durham.ac.uk) before 12 noon on 30 June 2022.

Interdisciplinary Perspectives SIG

The Interdisciplinary Perspectives Special Interest Group (IPSIG) are in an exciting position to welcome new members on its executive committee! 

Committee members are expected to:

  • attend executive committee meetings (held approx. once every two months), 
  • help with organising key IPSIG events and other IPSIG related matters.
