BAFA SITUATIONS VACANT: BAFA Treasurer

There are several opportunities open for volunteers to work with BAFA. We accept self-nominations and nominations from friends/colleagues for posts. Please do not be too modest or wait to be asked – your interest in any of these positions would be very much welcomed. 

CDAF Executive Committee

CDAF is seeking nominations for three roles on its Executive Committee: Vice Chairperson and two elected members.

The roles involve leading and promoting CDAF (and BAFA) in accordance with their aims. CDAF’s Strategic Plan focusses on three key strands of activity: 

  • Support: implementing activities to facilitate (in)formal networks and scheme to provide members with career enhancing opportunities and support. 
  • Influence: engaging with professional accounting and finance bodies while strengthening relationships with wider management education associations 
  • Education: acting as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking and seek to convene departments of accounting and finance on emerging education issues as required.

Further, the Committee, led by the Executive officers provide due oversight of all the CDAF activities and ensure compliance with BAFA policies and external compliance such as GDPR.

All Committee members are expected to attend CDAF committee meetings and the Annual General Meeting. There are normally at least two committee meetings during the year.

The vice chairperson is responsible for supporting the chairperson in reporting the business of CDAF to the Executive Committee of BAFA and to the CDAF AGM and liaising appropriately with the Executive Board of the Conference of Professors of Accounting & Finance (CPAF), and to deputise for the Chairperson as ex-officio member of the Executive Committee of the BAFA when required.

The elected members (2 vacancies) are expected to undertake roles which may include: liaising with the Accounting and Finance Professional Bodies; supporting the Treasurer in collecting members’ subscriptions; and managing the early career CDAF bursary scheme.

All Committee members are responsible for promoting and organising CDAF workshops and annual conferences and assisting in the administration of the activities of the Committee.
