There are several opportunities open for volunteers to work with BAFA. We accept self-nominations and nominations from friends/colleagues for posts. Please do not be too modest or wait to be asked – your interest in any of these positions would be very much welcomed.

Conferences and workshops

The Conferences and workshops role involves organising, co-ordinating, and publicising AH SIG conference and workshop activities; chairing workshops; and inviting speakers to those events.

The deadline for receipt of interest is Monday, 6 December 2021.

Anyone interested in applying for any of these roles should contact the Secretary of the AH SIG, Karen Mcbride (karen.mcbride@port.ac.uk) with a supporting statement outlining (1) why they would like to take-on the role and (2) what they believe they can contribute to the AH SIG in that role.

Please note that if there is more than one candidate for a role, each applicant will be asked to read out their supporting statement at the AGM so that members can then take a vote on who is elected to the role. The AGM is being held via Zoom on Thursday 16 December at 10:00.

Appointments are made under our Diversity and Inclusion Policy and are overseen by our Diversity and Inclusion Monitoring Committee.
