BAFA-SEAG 2023 Annual Conference

The organising committee of the BAFA –SEAG are pleased to announce its annual conference to be held at Queen Mary, University of London on Friday, June 2, 2023. The theme of the conference is ‘Current Topics in Accounting and Finance Research’ with special emphasis on corporate sustainability. Confirmed speakers at the conference are:

Renée Adams, Professor of Finance, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford

Andrew Ellul, Professor of Finance and Fred T. Greene Chair in Finance, Kelley School of Business, Indiana University

Trevor Hopper, Emeritus Professor of Accounting and Finance, University of Sussex Business School

Gaizka Ormazabal, Professor of Accounting and Control, Grupo Santander Chair of Financial Institutions and Corporate Governance, IESE Business School

Prem Sikka (Baron Sikka), Member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, Emeritus Professor of Accounting, University of Essex and Sheffield University Management School

Shahzad Uddin, Professor of Accounting, Director of Essex Accounting Centre, University of Essex

Alongside the invited speaker presentations, there will be an opportunity for scholars to present their working papers in a poster session. We invite submissions of original papers addressing research questions in all areas of accounting and finance research. There is no preference to any particular methodology or topic. We encourage submissions by young scholars and ‘Job Market’ papers by final year PhD students. Papers will be selected by the programme committee.

Submission Guidelines:

An anonymous full paper or extended abstract should be sent alongside a title page including names of authors and affiliation. All papers should be emailed to the BAFA-SEAG co-chairs: George Alexandrou (g.alexandrou@kingston.ac.uk) and Monomita Nandy (Monomita.nandy@brunel.ac.uk).
