ICAEW Seeking new Research Advisory Board Members

ICAEW is looking for new members to join its Research Advisory Board which is responsible for advising on the selection and funding of academic research and events.
Board members participate and comment on ideas for academic research to support policy makers; commenting on and inputting to research initiatives relevant to the profession and linked to the ICAEW’s thought leadership work; along with initiatives to foster closer links between the academic community and the wider profession on research issues.

The Board has two academic vacancies and welcomes applications from:

  • Established academics with tax expertise. They will be an active researcher who has published in high quality academic journals and is recognised by the academic community. They may be based in a university in the UK or elsewhere in the world. They do not need to be an ICAEW member.
  • Established academics with audit expertise. They will be an active researcher who has published in high quality academic journals and is recognised by the academic community. They may be based in a university in the UK or elsewhere in the world. They do not need to be an ICAEW member.

Successful candidates will join the Board in June 2018 for a first term of two years. The Board meets three times a year, usually in March, June and October. Meetings are held on a
Friday from 10.30am to 1.00pm. These are voluntary positions but expenses will be reimbursed. Meetings are held at Chartered Accountants’ Hall, London.
