BAFA-CPAF Research Mentoring Scheme Launched

Deadline: 30 September 2020

Applications are invited from aspiring researchers or early career academics in accounting and finance for a place on the new mentoring scheme. The  scheme offers research career development support on a one-to-one basis, primarily to ECRs (with a PhD gained in the last five years) and current PhD students. It is being led by CPAF, with help from BAFA/CDAF in promoting the scheme, identifying and encouraging ECRs to apply. Read the full details (PDF).

Please apply using the form (.docx) which should be sent to by 30 September, 2020. There will be three entry points (October, January, April) and places will be limited to 20 per intake, so if you miss this deadline or a mentor is not found for you in the first cohort, there will be another chance to participate soon. Please note that you must be a member of BAFA to apply for the scheme.

A date for your diary for the (virtual) official launch event is 10 November 2020, which will include a presentation by Dr Hilary Lindsay—former President of ICAEW and Honorary Associate of The Open University—of her Researching Accountant Development Framework (RADF). Look out for further details about the event in our member newsletter, and follow @BAFA_UK on Twitter.
